Terms of Service

Last updated: 6 October 2026

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of plotterfolk, including the forum at forum.plotterfolk.com.

1. Operator and contact

plotterfolk is currently operated by Rubén Duque de Estrada Ricardo, acting as an individual established in Spain.

Contact: contact@plotterfolk.com

plotterfolk is the name of the community and project; it is not currently a separate company or legal entity.

2. Using plotterfolk

By creating an account or using features that require an account, you agree to these Terms and to the Community Guidelines.

You may browse public content without an account where the forum permits it.

The forum is currently provided as a community service. If paid products or services are introduced in the future, additional terms may apply to those products or services.

3. Community conduct

Use plotterfolk lawfully and in a way that respects other members and the technical community.

You must not use the forum to harass others, distribute malware, impersonate people, expose private information without permission, infringe intellectual-property rights, evade access controls, or deliberately interfere with the operation or security of the service.

Commercial participation must follow the disclosure and anti-spam rules in the Community Guidelines.

4. Accounts

You are responsible for the activity carried out through your account and for keeping your authentication credentials secure.

Provide a valid email address when required and keep it reasonably up to date.

If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us promptly.

We may restrict, suspend, anonymize, or close accounts when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, the Community Guidelines, applicable law, or the security of the service.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you submit to plotterfolk.

By posting content, you grant the operator a non-exclusive licence to host, store, reproduce, format, display, distribute, index, back up, and technically process that content as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, moderate, search, translate, and improve the forum and its community features.

This licence does not transfer ownership of your work to plotterfolk.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to publish the material you submit and for respecting third-party licences and intellectual-property rights.

6. AI features and plotterBot

plotterfolk may provide AI-assisted features, including plotterBot (@plotterbot).

AI-generated responses may be useful but can be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. They are not a substitute for manufacturer documentation, professional advice, or hands-on verification where safety, electrical work, chemicals, machinery, or other material risks are involved.

When you invoke an AI feature, or when the forum’s configured unanswered-topic workflow invokes plotterBot, relevant forum content may be processed by external AI service providers as described in the Privacy Policy.

Human moderation remains authoritative for moderation decisions.

7. Hardware, materials, and safety

plotterfolk discusses machines, electronics, tools, blades, inks, solvents, modifications, and experimental workflows.

You are responsible for deciding whether a procedure is suitable for your equipment, materials, skills, and circumstances. Follow applicable safety instructions and manufacturer guidance.

8. Moderation

Moderators may move, edit, close, hide, or remove content, and may restrict accounts, when reasonably necessary to maintain the community, enforce these Terms or the Community Guidelines, address abuse, comply with law, or protect the service.

Automated systems may assist with detection, classification, translation, search, or moderation signals, but final sanctions and interpersonal moderation decisions remain under human control.

9. Third-party services and links

plotterfolk may link to or integrate third-party services, including authentication, email, hosting, code-hosting, social, and AI services.

Those services may have their own terms and privacy policies. plotterfolk is not responsible for third-party services that it does not control.

10. Availability

We aim to keep plotterfolk available and reliable, but uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed.

Features may change, be suspended, or be discontinued when reasonably necessary for maintenance, security, legal compliance, or the development of the project.

11. Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, plotterfolk is provided on an “as available” basis and without guarantees that every contribution, technical answer, compatibility claim, file, link, or AI response is correct or suitable for a particular purpose.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, nor does it reduce any mandatory rights that apply to you.

12. Ending use of the service

You may stop using plotterfolk at any time.

Account deletion or anonymization is handled according to the forum’s available account controls, moderation requirements, legal obligations, and the Privacy Policy.

Provisions that by their nature should continue after an account is closed — including provisions concerning previously granted content licences, legal compliance, and liability — may continue to apply where legally appropriate.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without depriving users of any mandatory protections that apply under the law of their country of residence.

Any dispute will be handled by the courts or authorities that are competent under applicable law. Nothing in these Terms requires a consumer to waive a mandatory right to bring a claim before another competent court or authority.

14. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated as plotterfolk develops.

Material changes will be communicated through the forum or by another appropriate method when required. The date at the top of this page indicates the latest revision.
